Don’t forget, Sotomayor has health issues too. She is a lifelong diabetic. So if the gods of health and longevity help us out a little, Trump could get two more SCOTUS appts before his second term.

The left will literally be dropping in the streets if that happens.

Not to mention that Breyer is 80. Maybe he doesn’t last another 6 yrs.

I get all tingly at the thought.

I’m not at all surprised. Actually, lots of Trump fans get excited about the idea of liberals dying. Some send bombs, some use guns, some sit and wish people they’ve never met will keel over.

Trump perpetuates this type of behavior.

I and most Trump supporters wish no ill will on Justice Ginsberg.

If she does, we can rest easy Trump will pick us a winner like the previous ones. He's already surpassed his three predecessors in the quality of his picks.

I don't wish ill will on anyone. In the case of RBG she has been in declining health for close to 10 years. Her arrogance put her in this position to have to try to outlast Trump. She could have resigned with grace and dignity 3-4 years ago. Instead, she made herself a sideshow. If she does the right thing by herself and the country and does retire in January she will be better off.

"if she does the right thing" miss me with that, the right thing for her to do is hang on as long as she can so we don't get another bought and paid for corporate sponsored justice like Kavanaugh. You think they're on "your side" but they aren't, they will always put corporations ahead of you and me.

If it is a lifetime position, and they don't need to run for office and secure any campaign contributions, then why would you consider them to be "bought and paid for" by corporations and why would they have any incentive to always side with corporations?
