I am a combat veteran, and I will be watching the NFL.
First, thank you for your service to this country. Second, I am glad you are home, and able to watch you favorite team on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. Third, I'm not watching, but it's not out of protest. I just don't really watch football. Basketball is more my thing.
National boycott of the NFL for Sunday November 11th, Veterans Day Weekend. Boycott all football telecast, all fans, all ticket holders, stay away from attending any games, let them play to empty stadiums. Pass this post along to all your friends and family. Honor our military, some of whom come home with the American Flag draped over their coffin.
I don't watch football, I like water polo and basketball.
This said, I don't think how the athletes chose to protest has anything to do with military and veterans.
I suppose seeing the players kneel should be an affirmation that we are still living in a country where open dissent is welcomed. That is something I support. I don't agree with the way they protest, but they do have the right to protest. Boycott seems unnecessary to me, (me being the keyword). If one wanted to boycott, that is his/her right also. Live and let live. If there are principles you live by , remember the rules apply to people you disagree with as well.

Never heard this but it is a good idea. I think I will go suggest to hubby we watch something else. Of course watching on TV or not, really doesn't affect who shows up to the games.
Thanks for telling us this and THANKS to all those who have served our county including most of my family who have all gone to heaven now.

I gave up my long held season tickets (prime tickets impossible to get) this year, and have not watched more than 15 minutes all season at most on TV.
These bums and the feckless eunuchs in the NFL leadership have ruined what was once a great sport devoid of politics and anti-American punks.
