Because the right really does not care about any of that stuff as much as they like to pretend to. Just like their insane obsession with the flag as opposed to what it actually is supposed to represent.

This is a ridiculous. The United States plows many millions if not billions into protecting and moving the President around the world but cannot get him 60 miles down a French highway in a drizzle?

We spend a fortune on acquiring capability. Train security and drill extensively. Transport the motorcade overseas. But then we cannot actually USE the motorcade because having to actually deploy would be too much to "hastily" arrange?

What??? Did they not have a friggin weather report? After all, it does tend to rain a fair amount in that area of France. Even the most stupid tourist does not set off expecting only sunny skies.

It defies belief that the most powerful nation on earth would not have any contingency plans in place to use a motorcade. After all, Trump had been scheduled the visit the cemetery. The other national leaders managed to make it to various locations throughout the day to honor their dead.

But not Trump - even with this massive, expensive support in place.

Better he stick to the rallies.

Just read a link saying that Trump wasn’t able to attend because of a wide range of contingencies,
More lies of course Marines are trained to fly in bad weather so try again.

Trudeau does have class for sure. He also didn't let a little rain stop him from honoring others, and I love the shot he took at Trump, calling him out for not showing up due to "weather"!

Trump wouldn't know class if it bit him in the behind.

Justin must have used superglue on his eyebrows this time to avoid an embarrassing slip. Little Justin is still mad Trump bested him in the new trade deal.
