Nationalism is fine. I have no problem with any nation putting their own interest first. It's natural. Unfortunately the word nationalism has a negative conation after the minority of people, the white nationalist sorta hijacked the term, now that's all people think about when hearing the word nationalist.
In practice you might be right, but that is not what many of us think of. 'National' is just the adjective form of 'nation.' Nationalism is just the 'ism' form (so to speak) as with socialism, Islamism, etc.

Exactly, "nationalism" does not define the majority or demographics. That is defined by default.
So there is nothing essentially negative about white American nationalism. That's just redundantly stating the historical majority. There's something debased in thinking there is, and is an implication that there is something wrong with any white majority.. If someone is saying only or all white that wouldn't be entirely historical, as historically there are black Americans, and would be debatable.
The important thing is you can't have any nation as it was always known while drastically changing the cultural make up.
You know why there are so many trees in Paris? So the Wehrmacht could march in the shade!
. I think France gets sort of an unfair rap in WWII as their army was cut off so fast, the British had to retreat too. Russia lost massively at first and only having so much more territory to retreat away and cold winter to buy them time to regroup and counter attack a depleted Wehrmacht.
In the end, it worked out better for France to give in.

Trump tweeted out a childish ignorant insult tweet to Macron (yes, you read that correctly--the president of the USA is using twitter to insult the French president, and the entire of country of France along with him) and twitter just battered and ridiculed him.
And it was truly hilarious. Trump should really read some books, or at least look at the pictures--this is embarrassing.

But America was ~85% white majority and led from 1620 to about 1970 and drastically decreasing from there due to immigration policy. And diversity has been at the root of nothing but conflicts. You can't have a white, Western democracy without a white majority. To imply there is something wrong with not altering the demographics is saying there is something wrong with a white majority. I think a white majority is ideal even necessary to maintain a Western culture. Politics is downstream from culture and culture is downstream from ethnicity and demographics.
