Well Macron. Trump unlike Obama doesn't feel the world is entitled to our tax dollars for their own self interests. Globalist Macron needs to worry about his own country turning into a Muslim sewer.
Oh and England feels the same way too apparently with Brexit.
So if caring about your own as a top priority makes us Nationalists, so be it

I wonder out of all you who have given your opinion how many listened to the actual words Macron said. He said he is patriotic because he defends his people, but he is not nationalistic because he believes in strong cooperation between different people.
Another thing that he said that is going to sour French-US relations is that he said that he agrees with Trump that Europe needs a strong NATO forces, but not in the sense that they have to pay more [like the people pay the mafia for protection], but that they need to built up more their own military.
Nationalism being a betrayal of patriotism is just an empty platitude, designed to be a media soundbite. I however agree with him, I think everyone benefits when nations think about global well being (globalism) than individual well being (nationalism).
Nationalism is not a betrayal of patriotism they are one and the same. No, the governments and citizens of any country should be putting their own nations first not the whole world collectively instead, IMO.
