last time i looked qualifications for becoming president don't rest on which religion you believed in.

Didn't the US decide Slavery was an offense against humanity? When did it come back in vogue? And a better question...how are we going to eradicate this scourge once and for all?
Mailed any bombs lately?

RIP moderates are exactly right. When was the last time a moderate republican was elected president.

He's the classic second string quarterback that all the fans want to play when theirfirst stringer keeps coughing up the ball. He's on the sideline with his clipboard and baseball cap turned backwards, but when he finally gets his shot to play, you find out he's Nathan Peterman. Bernie has zero chance to become president because of his politics and his age. He's older than both Trump and Biden. If he wins the Democratic nomination, just cancel the presidential race. The Republicans will win.

Bernie is a jerk. Only in Vermont could someone like him be elected to the Senate.

Sen. Sherrod Brown would be the best Dem candidate. He just won big in Ohio. He's a social liberal but also a leftist populist and a passionate opponent of unfettered free trade.

Sherrod is a good man for a politician.

But he’s not running, Kamala, Warren, Booker, Sanders, Biden, etc. are running.

Of those bunch Bernie is eons better.

Sorry, but it is what it is.
Fair enough. How about this analogy? Bernie sucks. He's not a true Democrat and won't appeal to a broad base of folk. And he's not a good national candidate.

I still don't know why you concern yourself with matters of the State.

If someone who isn’t moderately anti-war/anti-capitalism wins I wom’ be voting.

I didn’t vote in the mid terms and I only voted in the primaries in 2016.

But Mr Sanders is a lifelong civil servant who made a career out of fighting for his constituents. Especially the disadvantaged (working poor, people of color, etc). I don’t see him as a jerk. Money in politics is a moral hazard. It corrupts the already corruptible. Sanders is devoted to getting rid of this problem.

Too many old, white pessimists (especially males) refuse to acknowledge that change is needed and they fight to the death for the status quo. They think in terms of “red vs blue” rather than “good vs evil”. They will never accept that they no longer have a monopoly on the rest of us. Times change. Keep up or fall behind.
Well said, I 100% agree.
