This guy is so corrupt it is ridiculous. So much corruption in Los Angeles yet we pretty much never hear about it in the mainstream media .

This same scumbag has been accused of harassment and retaliation and also got in an accident where the city paid out hundreds of thousands to his victim.

Too many are totally ignorant to the corrupt here in this city because the local media focuses 100x more on national politics and Trump versus the swamp right here in L.A

It will be interesting to see what the FBI raid turns up especially with L.A Mayor Eric Garcetti planning a Presidential run .
——-
Huizar wanted to cover up meetings “particularly when their particular issue or project was soon to be considered by the City Council or the Planning and Land Use Management Committee,” the suit alleges. “Those meetings were, of course, often followed close in time by donations to Huizar’s campaign coffers.”

In 2017, the Coalition to Preserve LA named Huizar and a number of other councilmembers in an investigation into real estate“pay to play” schemes. The group found that developers frequently donated to Huizar’s city council campaign as their projects moved through the City Council.
The report said Huizar “failed for several months to provide his meeting calendar” for the report, in violation of the California Public Records Act.

Another article about this

Strange no word about what the FBI is looking for . I’m guessing he has the press and well offers well paid off .

Its also unbelievable he’s been trying to get his wife elected . This should be a much bigger story and there should be more information . This guy has been in charge of an area with countless billions in investment in America’s second largest history .

It’s amazing how these local officials fly under the radar and I’m sure it emboldens them to act in a corrupt manor as they know they can likely get away with it . So many distracted by Trump when they should be worried about what is going on here in this city .

Im not sure if its 'ironic' that the FBI is the one investigating this (since they are such a corrupt agency themselves, their history, etc), or if there is more suitable term?

I would say "appropriate" considering the FBI does have a history of corruption.
