Empirical evidence? Link? Anything?

Except for Info Wars and some idiot on YouTube, of course

Those "idiots on YouTube" are simply dissenters who refuse to automatically swill the "pop wisdom" dispensed by the wannabee-elitists over there in Left Field.

The disturbing fact that a self-appointed few seek to silence them says a lot about the real threat to democracy and pluralism in contemporary advanced(?) societies.

Oh, come on. America conservatives may be anti-Science in general, but they are not disputing gravity.

They probably know who Elvis Presley is and not Benjamin Franklin. So what?

Conservatives/libertarians aren't anti-science; we simply aren't so gullible as to easily buy into the "junk science" cooked up to snare the young, impressionable, and only-selectively-technical on "fad" issues like climate change -- quickly morphed into "global warming" with cuddly polar bears for the teenyboppers.

Quote:
I don't think too many of us would deny that the climate does change, and is changing. The problem is that the issue was quickly seized upon and shouted to the rafters by the "usual suspects" over there in Left Field.

Those of us over the age of, roughly 65, can remember a few articles about a "Coming Ice Age" back in the 1960's-70's.

Popular Technology.net: 1970s Global Cooling Alarmism

And even though historical records document a "Little Ice Age" during the depths of the Dark Ages (600-900 C E, when little or no fossil fuels were being consumed) the "Global Warming" advocacy has to assign blame for the issue to man-made activity,

because this is the only rationale via which a huge new layer of international climatological bureaucracy, with financial rewards for those (politically) chosen to staff it, can be justified (even though, assuming a case for such could be proven, we're not sure how to address it).

About twenty years ago, a left-leaning British alarmist named Saci Lloyd published The Carbon Diaries, a fictional account of the warming of the British Isles to a point where palm trees appear in London. (I'm told that a few varieties of palms actually are found in extreme southern Cornwall, and have been for many years). The date of this supposed development is 2015.

So while a more intensive study of the phenomenae and causes of climate variations merits our attention -- let's not lose sight of the fact that there are people out there with pet causes, and a financial incentive.

SJW preschool classes are on the way.

Your ignorance is showing. Your attempt to limit education and access to what you believe is unimportant, based on your own fears, is astonishing. I surmise the facts of history you wish to ban with your ludicrous communist brainwashing label, are more powerful than those you hold. Otherwise why are you so scared of Martin Luther King.

BTW I am certain there is room for both Newton and MLK in the classroom. And Gandhi and the astronauts and Bobby and JFK etc....

Why not? After all, it's only a theory right? Like evolution.

Unfortunately. some people hate Dr. King. Some people hate the good that he did. Some people pine for the days of segregation and Jim Crow, but won't outright say so. Now, should we know about Sir Isaac Newton? Yes. More kids need to be paying attention in science class and teachers should teach about Sir Isaac Newton. However, I think some people are looking for any excuse to turn against someone like Dr. King because they don't want to say "I want the days of Jim Crow to return". Being that blunt results in all kinds of trouble. Some people are just that bad.

The Left already has. Whenever you quote something he said they go ballistic and try to down play it.
