I think Americans from both sides of the aisle are pretty much over the divisiveness in Washington.

this. if the dems choose to load up on impeachments, many of them may face recall votes fro their districts, and they may end up losing the house before 2020.

You can't seriously believe something like that, can you?

It won't happen to 1 newly elected official, let alone enough to turn the house.

Did somebody tell you this, did you read it somewhere?

I full anticipate that they will work to protect Mueller's investigation.

There are no grounds for impeachment of Trump at this point, but that could change. Even if there were grounds, it might be better for Trump to stay in office and continue to shred the last remainders of the Republican Party, which will work in the Democrat's interest. Eventually, it will boil down to a hard core 20% or so that will follow Trump no natter how ratfink crazy he gets; a loyal base to be sure but enough to pull together a splintered Republican party willing to vote for him again?

Leave him in there as a foil, don't impeach him.

It's a good thing Nancy Pelosi isn't a foil who is ratfink crazy, eh?

Enough with the witch hunt already. Do something that'll benefit the above mentioned people.
Oh, oh, I know!

Tax the wealthy!

More government entitlements!

Another department with a catchy acronym to 'solve the problem'!

TDS has reached new heights of insanity. But who claimed liberals were sane?

And no one knows this better than Pelosi - who figures that it's meaningless unless there's enough popular support in the Senate to vote for removal. Which is why she'll just wait it out for stuff to come out for consideration.

Hardly. They might have the opposite problem - if they constituents are spoiling for impeachment, and it doesn't happen, they may be disappointed. That's probably the case where I live.

And I thank you!

Madam Pelosi and DNC in the House will be much better served the next year and one half (before 2020 election cycle heats up in earnest) on finding ways to win back much of the voters they will need to have a chance at WH and or senate in 2020.

Impeaching DT might score democrats points in their liberal/progressive base states/areas; but it won't impress large parts of the country that are solidly behind DT and or at least the GOP.
