This is the most detailed article I’ve read on the matter from the Washington Post. They are not criticizing the First Lady.
I think there’s a lot going on behind the scenes that we simply aren’t aware of. Ricardel had a coarse personality that apparently left her unliked by much of her fellow staff at the WH. She yelled, criticized, and belittled fellow staffers on a regular basis according to WP. In addition, she apparently had a snitfit over Melania’s Africa travel manifest because she was to fly on a different plane, which security personnel advised her to do but that she did not agree with. As a result she threatened to pull advisor resources from the trip. Melania did not trust her, and believes she has been a WH mole. Bolton, a big Ricardel supporter, was apparently working overtime to soothe things out but they came to a head anyway.
When I saw this thread all I could think of was how sad it is that liberals are after Melania now. To be so filled with hatred that you go after someone's family.
the media could announce that Melania hates spinach, and if they'd all jump on the same boat condeming her...sad....they will grasp at anything...like wolves jumping in for the kill....and this is such minor crap...so, she called for someone to be fired, and everyone is all upset, and they don't even know what happened...that's our Media for us...get them all fired up
First of all, the First Lady's first name is Melania, not Melanie. If you're all about "respect" for the Trumps, getting her name right would be a good start. Set a good example for the rest of us!
First, you knew who I meant, you don't have to insult me to bring me down to your level.....and triggered, not in the least, just using common sense.

Secondly, to whom are you referring as "my president"? Do you know who I've voted for in every single election since I turned 18? You must be clairvoyant! Awesome!
your right I don't know....SCORE!!!

Anyway, I thought Trump was "my president". That's what all the Trumpists keep telling me ...
Wow, intelligent analysis....
yes, he is your President...as was Obama ours, and btw I voted for him in his first term...so...

As to "what ever problem" Mrs. Trump has with Ms. Ricardel - you're absolutely right. It is none of our business. Unfortunately, Mrs. Trump chose to go public with her dislike of Ms. Ricardel and with her opinion of Ms. Ricardel's professional competence. That is the point of contention. Mrs. Trump overstepped her authority and professional boundaries by publicly criticizing an administration employee who is not under her direct supervision.
again, where is it written that she overstepped her authority and professional boundaries...just b/c you think one way and she thinks another doesn't make you right and her wrong....your grasping at straws to sink the ship

But please - continue to spout ill-conceived, illogical rants about "what Obama and Hillary did", as if those two - neither of whom are president nor first lady these days - figure into the conversation. I like a good laugh.
yeah, it's been real, laughing is great for the soul, glad we had a great time....and thank you...
oh and btw, rants about what obama and hillary did are truths....so....just for the record....
simply telling the truth....that apparently you have to personally attack by saying rants...but you weren't ranting right? LOL....
I've read your posts and know who you supported. Class doesn't factor into it. In no way is what Melania did bullying.
Just more tabloid nonsense from the left. It's always about policy.
"My posts and who I supported" have nothing to do with the public humiliation Melania caused by releasing to public media that she wanted Mira Ricardel fired and that Mira Ricardel did not deserve the honor of serving in the white house, etc...
Mrs. Trump's communications director issued a press release; the media merely reported it.
If you're going to assign blame, at least blame the correct party.

Are you familiar with the phrase "stay in your lane"?
Ms. Ricardel was not employed by Mrs. Trump. Mrs. Trump has no authority to hire or fire Ms. Ricardel. Issuing a press release criticizing Ms. Ricardel's professional competence was out of line.
Say instead we're talking about a bank. Ms. Ricardel is the head teller, and Mrs. Trump runs the loan department. The head teller's immediate supervisor is the branch manager. The head of the loan department - a completely different department - does not have the authority to go over the branch manager's head and hire or fire the tellers. Issuing a press release criticizing the head teller's professional capabilities could be considered slander.

Truth or not, the actions of neither President Obama nor Mrs. Clinton are germane to a press release issued by the current First Lady's office. Try to stay on topic ...
No one directly but she got Ronald Reagan to fire Don Regan because her astrologist told her to. You must be young.
I was anywhere from elementary school to high school when Reagan was in office. I sort of recall the astrologer thing, but that was her getting him to fire someone, not her coming out on the news (the social media of the day) demanding someone be let go.

Melania is taking the "Bess Truman" approach. Bess was also a very secluded First Lady. She spent most of her time in Missouri. She was pretty isolated form the public
Why didn’t she talk to her creepy porn husband instead of announcing it publicly?
