Also, many of the Trump supporters responded to my thread from last week, saying that they're willing to let Mueller finish his investigation IF he wraps it up quickly. But apparently McConnell isn't concerned to protect Mueller so he can finish.

In fairness, Flake is a member of his own party. So refusing to cooperate with Flake is not, technically, a partisan move.

I cannot believe he is still there. Does anyone actually respect him besides his wife (maybe)?

A GOP critter helping another GOP critter?!?!!! Whoda thunkit?

Scummy but little different than past administrations protecting their own.

Trump probably. At least for the time being.

Of course he did. That man is downright hateful.

I did enjoy him talking about working together with the incoming Democrat-controlled House next year... LOL.

Sure, Mitch. Sure.

As to your other point, clearly Flake would not fit in the Democratic party, he is Republican through and through, a classic conservative with impeccable credentials. Anyone who does not realize this has a weak understanding of Republican politics.

I would correct this to say "Mueller’s investigation needs to complete so we can move on".

The investigation was begun for a reason, let us see it though to completion, so that we can all know what happened, and when. Let's bring perpetrators to justice and exonerate the innocent.

Cutting any investigation short does none of that, and in this case would leave a dark cloud over this administrations' legacy for all time.

No one person, anywhere in these United States, is above the law. Impeding a lawful investigation is tantamount to obstruction. Let us see justice done.

How many years does it take to investigate something that has allegedly already taken place when the people who would know whether or not anything alleged actually took place have been flipped and are desperate to tell Mueller anything he wants to hear?

This is not an investigation of a crime because no one can name a crime that has been committed.

The Mueller investigation is, as it has always been, a hissy-fit by the losers of the 2016 election.

...
Wrong on every point you try to make.

The investigation will take ... as long as it takes. Six years would not be outside the range of possibilities, but it could also finish much quicker.

You are confusing an investigation with a persecution. There were legitimate reason to start the investigation, and there have already been many indictments and guilty pleas.

There are also sealed indictments. They could be unsealed at a later time. Possibly after Trump is out of office.

The plain fact is while our very sovereignty was compromised by a hostile foreign power, Trump has been dangling shiny objects to distract his base from the reality. That is, he has been doing that to you ...

Hello McFly!! ... anybody home?

The Mueller investigation was launched by the winners of 2016. Where have you been?

Default Double Standard

Mueller just needs to go...............period. Too much time has been wasted on something that had zero evidence from the beginning. Meanwhile, Hillary still gets away with what was the actual wrongdoing and she still doesn't get an investigation. This is not right.

Oh lordy case44. Do some research on how long Benghazi was investigated with zero indictments. The GOP investigated for two and a half years, $8 million dollars, seven reports and zero convictions. Either the GOP was terribly incompetent or just for grins, there was no wrong doing.

Meanwhile two years into Mueller's investigation, we have detailed indictments of Russian's who interfered with our election. We have Trump's inner circle from his "fixer" to his CFO and Equirer sleaze bag friend cooperating with Mueller in exchange for immunity. There are convictions. That's more than zero evidence. That's the facts.

I have a feeling that January will be an interesting month.

No one cares about Clinton. She's been gone a long time. Trump is our president and what's happening in the here and now is way more interesting and disturbing.
You can try and defend Trump all you want, what will be will be. Honestly, what do you think is going to happen with his inner circle falling and flipping one by one?
