No surprise, right? I'm sure he can't bear any cultural event - especially if it's not to honor HIM. Can you imagine Trump voluntarily going to a Mozart concert, or a ballet, or a museum exhibit of Renaissance art, or a literary event? (Well, we know he doesn't read.)

He skipped the Veterans Day ceremony at Arlington, on Monday, too.
He did however make time to tweet fact- free nonsense from the WH.
While I loathe Donald Trump as much as any of you, I think this issue needs to be clarified. There was no official ceremony planned for Monday, Nov 12th, at Arlington. The commemoration there happened on Veteran's Day, which fell on Sunday, Nov. 11th. The President delivered an address at Suresnes American Cemetery outside Paris that morning, so while I agree that he's a tool, he is not guilty of ignoring Veteran's Day. Several members of his cabinet attended the Arlington service to represent the administration in his absence. Let us also remember that Nov. 12th is a federal holiday, so it was actually kind of thoughtful that he did not make a big to-do of things so his entourage could have the day off after a busy week. It's honestly a weird feeling to defend him, but the Arlington thing is kind of getting under my skin. It's really not a fair criticism.
