what does bipartisan approval for the DC court have to do with the SC? Elections have consequences. Democrats lost the majority of the Senate in 2014.



It would be the same thing for Trump if he had to deal with a Democrat majority Senate. If Schummer doesn't like Trump's choice, he will tell him don't bother, he won't pass. Either pick one that we can live with or let the people decide in a presidential election year.
