Nothing NEW.

Shumer has been doing it from day 1 of Trump's presidency BEFORE he nominated his FIRST judge pick.

"If Mueller was going to be fired,"

And NOT 1 person on the left, which INCLUDES the LSM, can produce 1 single instance where Trump said he WOULD/WILL fire him.

We have seen TONS of IF, MAYBE, WILL HE, WHEN IS HE, etc. from the left AND the LSM.

And you find a problem with this because ? Good, he has courage and ethics. Trump would love to figure a way to get the Mueller investigation off of his back (what are you hiding, Donnie ?) and Mueller needs to stay on the job to finish what he started.

I realize your side has disdain for anything dealing with law and order, but not all of us are ready to turn America into a Banana Republic with a Dictator who has orange skin and bad hair quite yet.

Agree. Another real conservative that believes in the rule of law. If Trump isn't planning to interfere with the investigation, what's the problem? Flake isn't gullible. Trump's pattern of power is corruption and lying. So Flake is just crossing all T's and dotting all I's. Not everyone on the right takes Trump's word. Ask McCain,, Comey, McCabe, Flake, Cohen and the other numerous fixers that have turned against the Corrupt Liar in Chief.

This stance, should Mr. Flake keep to it, could spell trouble for Mr. McConnell. After all, Mr. Corker is also leaving the Senate due to retirement, and hence may be tempted to join in, and some Republican senators that just won re-election (and so safe in their seat until 2024) may also be tempted to thumb their nose at Trump and McConnell. Stranger things have happened.

Nah. They're well aware that one of the only reasons a lot of people voted for Trump was for judicial picks. As we saw with Heitkamp, Manchin, et. al., they'll be risking their seats, and I'll bet you $ none of them are willing to do that.

This whole Mueller protection thing is such a farce. It's a fact that Mueller is wrapping up, that if Trump wanted him fired he would have done so already, and that there's a non-recused AG in town. There's ZERO chance Trump will do anything to Mueller. The AG will take care of all of it.

Flake is a fake.

He will be gone in January but his replacement won't be voting on any of Trump's judges either is my guess.
