Surprised there was no thread on this...

Julian Assange has been charged, prosecutors reveal inadvertently in court filing
Quote:
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been charged under seal, prosecutors inadvertently revealed in a recently unsealed court filing — a development that could significantly advance the probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election and have major implications for those who publish government secrets
Quote:
Mueller also has been exploring, among other things, communications between the group and associates of President Trump, including political operative Roger Stone and commentator and conspiracy theorist Jerome Corsi.

U.S. Is Optimistic It Will Prosecute Assange
Quote:
The Justice Department is preparing to prosecute WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and is increasingly optimistic it will be able to get him into a U.S. courtroom, according to people in Washington familiar with the matter.

DNC, Hillary and Podestas emails are not government secrets.

Hillary and Podesta refused to authenticate their emails and refused to give their servers to the FBI to investigate . So I have no idea how Mueller is going to tie Trump to Wikileaks and Russia.

Assange was a big help to Trump during his campaign, by hacking his opponent's E-Mails and making the stolen communications available to him and his staff. So I wonder if Trump will attempt to pardon him, if he's convicted? He's already set a precedent for freeing unsavory characters. Maybe Trump will even try to sabotage the prosecution?

what? Wikileaks was going to publish the emails and it didn't matter who was the GOP nominee. It could have been Jeb Bush or Rubio or Cruz and Wikileaks was going to publish the emails anyway like they always do to expose corruption.

Why would Wikileaks make the emails available to Trump before being publish? how is that doing damage to Hillary? did Wikileaks needed Trump's permission to publish what Wikileaks has always done for years? DUH!

Even if Wikileaks gave the emails to Trump to read before being publish, that's not against the law.....that's like charging everybody that read the emails online when Wikileaks published it. That would be millions of people.

As soon as the Ecuadorians finally get sick of him then the US can have him as far as I am concerned.

He was never initially wanted for anything in Britain, however instead of fighting extradition he chose to break bail conditions, which is a crime.

I also recall reading about Roger Stone links to Assange and Wikileaks,

BS!
Assange didn't hack anything. He is just a publisher.
Attacking the press like this, is totally against the 1st amendment.
Bashing CNN has nothing on this.

"Attacking the press like this, is totally against the 1st amendment."

So, in YOUR mind the press is "FREE" under the 1st amendment to say and print WHATEVER they WANT, and NO ONE is "FREE" under the 1st amendment to complain about ANYTHING thy say or print.

Even though we KNOW they have PROVEN bias and outright LIED.

Got it!
