To give you an idea of how bad these fires are, I live in CA. I live hundreds of miles away from both main fire sites. Our air, where I live, hundreds of miles away, (about 200 miles away from one, and about 300 miles away from the other one) is filled with smoke. The last week or so, it's been gray, hazy, smoky, the sun is red not yellow.
These fires are really bad, and you consider the fact that many of the people who lived where the northern fire is located were older, a lot of disabled, many without transportation or even cell phones...it's extremely sad. A horrible, horrible way to die. Not to say that all of these deaths are not horrible, but the ones that get me the most for some reason, are the ones where they find the remains of someone, or people, in their cars trying to flee.
They free burn the fields in Mexico every year. The southern breeze has Austin, looking worse than LA on a bad day.
That is a couple of week ordeal around here, with asthma suffers
Neil Johnson doesn't trust banks with his money but I for one don't trust the money. It's pure fiat and the US is creating huge quantities of new money. He should have converted his savings into gold bullion. If he had gold in his safe, the gold would have probably melted into a blob with the same value it had before the fire.
