She was there representing the US at the Invictus Games just as Michelle Obama did years ago. Nope, not shocked at the hate spewing in some posts.
She is not needed there any more than Trump was needed at the cemetery in France to honor fallen soldiers. And the way her philandering birther husband treats Canada, they would not miss her in the least.

I don't mind the cost of the trip, but I do mind the frequency of them
She isn't the person we voted for, she shouldn't be in politics unless the president is there too. We got a vice president for things that the president misses, not his wife

When I was living in California, President H.W Brush came to the town I was staying and secret service rented out the entire hotel for a few days, I only assume for security reasons.
I was working for Republicans when he came to the hotel for an event (can't remember what the heck it was, I DO remember having to go through it with 101 fever), and the amount of stuff the SS has to do is insane.
I do not know if Melania's costs are out of the ordinary, and it is entirely possible, that's a standard price range for the First Lady, or, it could be astronomical.
Would need to know what is typical.
It's well known that I do not like Trump, but there are plenty of things much more important.

True, but the hotel bill of $174,000 DOES NOT include said expenses. For the record, the advance team's total expense was only $18,000 and it's not included in the $174,000 hotel bill for Melania Trump. $174,000 is only the hotel bill for our First Lady and nothing else.
You may ask: Maybe Melania spend the night at the most expensive suite!! Well, the very top rated room in Ritz Carlton was $8,000. And for the record, Melania did not spend the night.
So how does it come out to $174,000??
I guess you'll have to know GOP math because WH officials are refusing to comment.
It's pretty bad when all you can do is name call, and not contribute anything of value.
I guess people like this think they are clever, and maybe it is, if you are under the age of 12, but there is supposed to be a minimum age to post here.
