Carter Page reported to the FBI any odd contacts made by Russians. He was a source for them! He never met Trump, by the way and had little to do with his campaign. He was set up, which is why he is suing.

I was no fan of Obamas, however this is not about Obama, although I don't believe a lot of the contradctory and complicated answers given by Carter Page, nor is their any evidence to suggest he was some kind of FBI informant.
However the issue here is the making ublic of secret intelligence given to the US in good faith by foreign powers and the implications in relation to future intelligence sharing.
I don't thnk most peole are shocked by the fact we do trade with Russia, indeed we wuld do a lot more trade ith Russia if acted in a more responsible rather than a murderous and dangerous regime, which tries to manipulate the west and even murers opponents of Putin in the West.
