In a very rare move, Melania has worn the same outfit twice - telegraphing support for D&G (Dead & Gone). She "really doesn't care".
D&G's racist ad and racist Instagram post (they went with the go-to "we were hacked" excuse) has resulted in the cancellation of their high profile Shanghai fashion show, and a boycott by Chinese merchants, consumers, and celebrities. China was 30% of their market.
"The brand is experiencing major backlash following the release of an ad campaign which featured racist stereotyping, and the uncovering of racist remarks apparently sent from Stefano Gabbana's personal Instagram account.
The luxury brand's Shanghai show was cancelled as a result, and a number of retailers in China have withdrawn D&G products from their shelves.

Melania has worn the ensemble before, debuting the gown in Israel in 2017. The recycling of the luxe look is rather unusual for the style conscious First Lady, who rarely wears the same outfit twice, especially for evening occasions.
