At this point it is probably useless. We have seen already the immense damage, and each year it gets worse and worse. Would we live in a sane world then starting with carbon emissions might be a good place to begin.

Actually, that would be "weather" and it was widely predicted. As the ice caps melt, temperatures were predicted to be cooler further away from the poles. Hence, we get wicked storms as the warmer air masses collide with the temporary phenomenon of cool air.

Emissions and global initiatives would be a start, but we don't do that any longer. Our current president (sic) is "smarter"; just ask him.

We're done. Trillions to build sea walls, fight fires, preserve food sources and create a livable environment for billions in harms way. It's too late to provide the funding without destroying our world economy. And then we are still going to die from an inability to quickly adapt to a new hot, dry and inhospitable climate.

Par for the course, the Govt did the same with studies that found positive medical uses for Marijuana...they just blocked the release of the study, it was that simple.

If a study doesnt support the current 'narrative' it is blocked/suppressed, thats pretty typical for a tyrannical govt though.

New York City did not exist. What size was Manhattan Island at the time?

I actually believe in man made global warming but am quite skeptical, in the absence of huge technological advances, that much can be done about it. A map of the world during the Roman Warming period would be quite interesting to estimate the damages if temperatures rose to that level again.

Most liberal policies seem to be costly to Western nations in both money and jobs with little hope of accomplishing much.

People on both sides of the issue have their heads purposely buried in the sand.
