I'm talking an actual scientific published paper. Journalists are not scientists.

I have done my own research on this topic. I could not find a single published scientific paper suggesting an ice age was coming. It's more of a meme from that time that nowadays right wingers push for a narrative.

But I will be glad to admit that I'm wrong on this if you can show me the scientific community was actually pushing for this idea back then.

Who makes money if they tell everyone there is an endless supply of oil in the ground because it’s part of the earths composition?

Prediction is a dangerous undertaking, especially about the future.

Yep thats how science works when new data is discovered the consensus changes. Thats why its a far more accurate way of determining truth as opposed to simply listening to your favorite right wing radio host who just tells you what you want to hear.

The April 28, 1975 Newsweek magazine did do a science article about a few scientists who were advocating cooling but even then the scientific consensus was warming by about 70% to 30%. That ratio is now 97% to 3%.

It is NOT 97% to 3%. Talk about what's been debunked already.....

First off, would much of the published scientific papers be on the interwebs ? Just curious. And you are correct , there is a long list of media based articles. This is the closest I could find on a quick search and it still isn't a published paper

Wasn't that "settled science"? Kind of like all of the man-man climate change theories of today?

Exactly!

They would never tell us if we were 10 yrs away from running out of oil, that kind of news could cause so much potential panic, its really best to suppress it.
