The raid is related to a search warrant the authorities obtained in a Montgomery County investigation into Father Manuel La Rosa-Lopez, charged with indecency with a child.

There are sexual abuse cases in every denomination of Christianity and other major religions, so why are sexual abuse cases especially common with Catholic priests (at least in the news)?

It’s not more common in the Catholic Church than any other organization but the media jumps on every story and ignores all others. It’s just Satan doing his work.

I'm not sure. I think it may be because they can't get married. Is there any other denomination in which priests are required to be celibate? They need to change the policy.

They can't get married AND masturbation is a sin. It led to many confused gays & pedophiles joining the clergy in hopes of preying away their desires.

Satan's real work here is the church hierarchy protecting predator priests and they deserve to be jumped on not only by the media but by the legal system, they deserve prosecution and jail if convicted, not merely reassignment.

I have not seen the numbers on which denomination has the most problem with this, but I think a good step here is to allow priests to get married. Almost all churches out there allow this, the Catholic Church is the only one I'm aware that does not allow its priests to get married.

Homosexuals are taking over the seminaries. Temptation for those men to prey on younger men and it happens.

They need to clean it up this time. The laity are fed up and are going to stop giving any money until they do.

We are disappointed in Pope Francis who wants to turn a blind eye to it. Calling for him to retire. He won't do a thing.
