It truly starts at the top, doesn't it? After a lifetime of cheating the people he owes money, Trump has carried over that philosophy to America's veterans. Trump's VA has decided it is too much trouble to pay the veterans who were cheated out of their GI Bill benefits because of VA incompetence and will just not bother to make up the difference. Trump loves our veterans. Just not enough to pay them what they have been promised.

Nice article.
Very little said, though. I'm a veteran and I couldn't find anything to get excited about.

Let's see.
  • NBC News - Check
  • The aides asked not to be identified = Anonymous sources - Check
  • Absolutely no proof given. - Check
  • OP Blames Trump - Check
Congratulations. We have the "I Hate Trump" circle jerk topic.

And most funny. The article even says the Veterans are not getting their money owed to them by a law that Trump signed. i.e. If it wasn't for Trump they would not be getting the payments.

Trump's VA?
The VA does not belong to Trump and a president does not personally run every department of the US, a president does not personally write the checks nor can a president make department officials do his/her bidding.

Try again.

Let's see ...
  • Administration reneges on a promise. Check.
  • Administration screws the little guy. Check.
  • Hypocritical administration professes to be all patriotic one minute and cheats vets out of their benefits the next. Check.

Anonymous sources are acceptable if they corroborate one another. That's been an investigative journalism canon for as long as I can remember.

LOL, didn't read the article, did you? The hubbub is resulting from a bill Trump signed into law.

And yes, a president can make department officials do his/her bidding. Trump is the boss. He can force the VA to make those retroactive payments.

Too much trouble to pay veterans benefits they were cheated out of?

If the POTUS won't insist on it, why won't the Armed Services Committees in Congress insist on it.

Yes I did read it. The hubbub is the back log due to computer issues, not the bill itself. The bill increased education allowances for veterans. The VA's computer system was unable to process the changes causing a backlog.

No the president does not have the magic power to make the computer issues and back log disappear or to stop the audit requirement or make the VA write checks with no documentation. Trump is the president not a dictator nor the judicial system. Guess you were asleep when the justices blocked Trumps orders.

This thread is perfect example of the REAL COST of TRUMPISM.

Here is a thread that is nearly 18 hours old, with only 6 responses. It is discussing how our Veterans are suffering. Meanwhile, we are on page 10 or something of another discussion about the right trying to get the left to defend themselves about an argument made up by lies from Trump.

He's winning alright. He's got us distracted on a nothing-burger while he's robbing us, our veterans and the middle and lower class blind.

For those that support this agenda, yes you are winning.

Robs them blind? The bill was to increase benefits in the future. Computers are creating issues which is no surprise as low bid contracts for services leads to problems. But hey you can jump on the "Its Trumps fault" train just like normal with no thought put into your posts.
