So either you are saying the border patrol was too stupid to realize that women and children were all up front (at least according to you), or they lobbed the tear gas at them even knowing this. So which is it?
We have no idea where the BP aimed the tear gas but I hope we can all agree the illegals should not have had women and children with the AT ALL.

That's not what you said before. You said the men had thrust the women in the front to get the brunt of the tear gas, and that they were using the women and children as human shields. So you certainly felt they were the targets of the tear gas by virtue of the fact they were all in the front, else why make those claims to begin with?
Funny how when you're called on it you suddenly pretend you never said those things. As if no one can go back a few posts and see that, yes, you did.
So becasue there was a photographer not running somewhere in the frame, you are saying is staged? Do you not think a proper reaction to grab your children and run when a canister of gas is thrown at your feet? Do you stop and smell it and say "oh thats tear gas, its fine, Obama did it". What is the issue, different people react differently, I am most likely not running if canisters of gas are thrown over a fence, certainly wouldnt if it was my job to take pictures.
Bottom line this is dehumanization, which is really easy for some people to do, when the other people don't look like them.
Jesus Christ, Syria? its was an actual war, you know bombs dropping over buildings full of people, do you not think the girl in the picture was a direct representation of what tens of thousands went through. This isn't a road runner cartoon, not acme bombs, when bombs explode they pulverize things and people, that people and things powder gets embedded into your skin, they don't just dust themselves off and walk it off.
How is it inhumane for the Border Patrol to protect themselves from being pelted with rocks and bottles? Ah, the race/skin color card again. Are you not aware the large number of our Border Patrol that are also Hispanics that look just like the people in the caravans?

Oh for crying out loud, we have no idea where the tear gas was aimed. Plus I know as well as you do that tear gas cannisters can be picked up and thrown again. No one will know the whole truth unless we were there. And that it the point.

Backtrack, backtrack, backtrack. Go ahead and pretend you never said otherwise. Maybe no one will notice...
Arguing with another poster is lot more informative that looking at the issue, isn't it.
Good gawd. Its the internet version of a mean girl, shoving someone else into a locker because they like the drama. The lengths people will go to in order to avoid thinking about whether or not the news is manipulating them. Lots of posts attacking others, none addressing the topic, of whether or not the news is biased.
Not at all but it was the men who put the women and children up front to get the tear gas so they could break into the country. Using them as shields and it should be people like you denouncing it not letting them get away with it.
Doesn't matter that mothers and children are hurt as long as it fits your agenda, eh? Doesn't matter that the journey, as dangerous and horrible as it is, is less awful than what they're fleeing. Doesn't matter that decades of US policy destabilizing Central America led to this point.

Actually, you wouldn't want to do that without an oven mitt and even then, I'm not sure I would try it. Those things get hot.
Tear gas is a suppression and area denial attack. It's not meant to harm, just disperse a threat.
A crowd is a crowd. If the women and children were part of the crowd that were throwing stones and trying to force their way in, then they get tear gassed too. You as a human being have the ability to make choices. Leaving a crowd that is acting belligerently is as valid a choice as standing at the front of it; Choices/Consequences. These women took their children on a perilous journey and then put them in the middle of a confrontation. Maybe we should be looking at their actions as detrimental to their children.
