So basically no one cares this has been proven a false? Snopes is now fake news?
Did you read Snopes' proof? They have none. It's conjecture only. So no, it has not been proven false. Snopes has become seriously lazy in it's proving of facts. That's why Snopes has lost my trust.
Well, actually it wasn't.
Everyone screams "tear gas," because it sounds worse.
It's OC Pepper spray. You could season your food with it.
Same stuff used hundreds of times during the Obama administration.
I am not even a trump supporter, but it is clear that this photo is staged in some way.
Check 1: There are people making staged photoes in the background
Check 2: Poor people don't dress their kids in diapers and t-shirt. Truly poor kids are dressed in blankets/rags and no diapers because they are expensive.
Check 3: They are not wearing suitable shoes for making a hike. And the clothes they do wear does not look like its been used for a while. If they didn't walk, how did they get there?
Check 4: The kids are way too old to wear diapers. Constipation is a sign of sexual abuse.
Check 5: That woman does not look like the mother of the kids, she has a different skin tone, different hair, and is too old.
Check 6: There is only one tear gas cannister in the picture, and it looks like a hand thrown version, but the distance is too far from the border.
A lot of these photoes has been staged, because it is much easier to stage a photo than to take a real one. What we are actually seeing here is probably child trafficking. I really feel sorry for these kids, but not because of the tear gas.
Back during the Vietnam War, there were those who said the picture of the naked little girl fleeing her napalmed village was also staged. Majority of Americans DID believe that picture was true.

Does that photo have cameramen making staged photoes in the background?
Is the girl in diapers?
Does she claim to have walked thousands of miles in that state?
And does she get held hard by a mother, who also claim to have 3 more kids that is nowhere to be found.
And there are a lots of photos from the Vietnam incident, and a video. In this one there is only two photos, and in the second one we can see that the kid is having her fingers stuck in a wiffle ball, and the "mother" does not care. Also, there are no videos from this incident even though there is lots of cameras. How convinient.
This kid looks like a victim to child traffickers.

BTW, I don't care either.
Provide a link for this claim, because as far as I can tell, you're regurgitating a falsehood from Fox, and YES, it was tear gas.
