Southwest Airlines has apologized after a gate agent at a California airport ridiculed a child’s unusual name.

A member of Southwest Airlines staff at John Wayne Airport poked fun at Abcde (pronounced ab-city) Redford, her mother told ABC 7.

The incident unfolded as the mother and daughter were flying home to El Paso, Texas. As Abcde has epilepsy, she always pre-boards.

Parents need to be locked up for child abuse. Don't they realize the bullying that kids is going to have to endure due to their selfish unwise choice? The only newsworthy part of this story is the damn name.

The employee needs to be smacked down for posting her ticket on social media as does the idiotic parents for giving the kid such a stupid name.

The fact that the parents gave the child a silly name does not excuse the employee. Gate agents are not paid to be social commentators.
