Two thugs chased a 19 year old woman across the street, into a store, and then executed her by shooting her 20 times. She died on a weekday afternoon in broad daylight. She was killed in front of witnesses in Trenton, the state capital of New Jersey. The murder was caught on security cameras. Jersey politicians and the news media told us time and again that this could never happen. We were supposed to be safe since the rigorous gun-control laws in New Jersey have disarmed the criminals. That obviously isn’t true and Jersey politicians and the news media lied to us. In fact, honest law abiding people were disarmed while the criminals still have guns. 'Gun control' failed again and today, honest people pay with their lives. Have we had enough?
Gun Control Fails New Jersey

If New Jersey law upheld the 2nd amendment, and all law-abiding adults in the state were allowed to freely carry a gun, most still wouldn't bother. But a few would.
Would the two murdering thugs have chased the woman down a public street in broad daylight with normal citizens looking on, if it was likely that a few people in the crowd were probably armed and knew how to use their weapons?
Criminals don't abide by laws. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Laws don't stop people from committing crimes. There are laws against malpractice, but over 200,000 people die each year. It's against the law for people to enter (or stay in) the U.S.A. illegally, but many say there are 22000000 criminaliens in the U.S.A.. It's illegal to drive drunk, but it didn't stop Ted Kennedy and Mary Joe died. It's illegal to take over a plane and fly it into a building, but laws don't stop evil people.

Gun Controls laws should be for the punishment of a crime, and not the disarmament of the civilian population.

Murder is illegal too.., it still happens... shall we make murder legal?
I think NJ gun laws are way to restrictive,... but we have to do better than this to argue the point
On the other hand,
Texas has some of the least restrictive laws and murder by gun also occurs.... again... we gotta do better than to cherry pick specific events to argue the point.
The problem is that a criminal in NJ can go to neighboring PA and probably get all the assault style weapons and ammo he wishes. Yes, this will keep happening as long as PA has its non-restrictive gun laws.
In the USA where we can cross municipal, state boundaries without any kind of recourse, gun control in one community will do little to control guns in another community.
I know -- too much common sense in one thought for some.
