Interesting how Wyoming residents have higher per-capita personal incomes than leftist, liberal, Democratic California yet the cost of living is much, much lower with higher job growth percentages.

Wyoming has $20.6 billion in non-pension investable funds that they have saved over the years to benefit residents of the state of just over 500,000 people.

California has over 1 trillion dollars in unfunded liabilities and government debt because it can't afford to pay cash like other states can.

Wyoming has per-capita personal income after tax of $51,910

California has per-capita personal income after tax of $51,303

Interesting, considering the liberals who punished the coal industry with worthless regulations in Wyoming during the Obama administration because it's a Republican one-party state.

Wyoming according to cost of living statistics has a cost of living 11% below the national average. (89.1% of the national average)

California is 37% above the national average. (137% of the national average)

2.2% job growth in Wyoming.

1.8% job growth in California

I've lived in California for 25 years. The only reason I pay more in taxes is because we have a state income tax. Federal income tax is the same no matter what state you live in. My career has paid off in California much better than it did when I lived in Tennessee where I'm from. I make twice the salary here. Yes, COA is higher - mainly housing. But housing has gone up so much in Nashville that people are getting priced out of the city/county. And I have no interest in living in Wyoming. The winters are brutal there. And California is a big state - outside of the major cities - where income is higher on the average - the COA is a lot less too.
