I played baseball at GA Tech (I was a benchwarmer, but still); many of my teammates played in either the MLB or the minor leagues. For those unaware, GT is a predominately male (almost 70%) engineering school--one of the best in the world--and many of the guys who attend are stereotypical Sheldons. The point being that those of us who played on the sports teams had coeds literally throwing themselves at us because we were some of the only desirable men on campus. I attended from '97-'01; I couldn't even imagine what it would be like being a BMOC now.
Men should always exercise caution. Better yet, be a gentleman. What's so damn hard about respect and courtesy? Yes, avoid women if you can't control yourself, if you think women are less then you, objects and receptacles. Go crawl into your cave.
