Here's what Donald Trump said about people who plead the Fifth Amendment in 2016:

“The mob takes the Fifth,” he said at an Iowa campaign rally in September. “If you're innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?”

Today, we found out Roger Stone pled the fifth to avoid incriminating himself or Trump.

So...do you think we'll see quite a few people doing that in the coming months?

As usually the lie in post # 1 is so obvious it can't go without attention.

No one can take the 5th for someone else. No better example of TDS where the smear is the rule and the facts have no place in the propaganda. Stone can't take the 5th to protect Trump but only himself.

Is government not the Mob ? They operate more the same than different but there are some differences.

Government officials taking the 5th and a non gov. citizens does have its distinction. It may be in the rate of convictions but I haven't seen any studies on that. Just some notable examples of those in gov. who never went to jail. It could be said some were allowed to profit, from self-service not public service, by retiring with their pensions and other benefits.

Pleading the Fifth: A congressional ritual for senior feds in times of scandal

Jeffrey Neely (who partied in a hot tub at a junket in Las Vegas), Lois Lerner (at the center of the IRS controversy over targeting of conservative groups), John Sepulveda (in trouble for organizing over-the-top VA conferences), Greg Roseman (who awarded a large contract to a company owned by a close friend) and Patrick Cunningham (a central figure in the Justice Department’s Fast and Furious operation) — these Obama administration officials all took the Fifth before Congress too.

He knows the mob boss will have his back if he doesn't squeal.

That's what our organized crime administration has come to.

trump now describes michael cohen as "weak" for testifying and roger stone "has guts" because he's pleading the fifth.

it amazes me that evangelical christians can still rationalize their absolute support of trump.

They just don't want to bite into the communist apple and ruin their appetite for politics.

Donald Trump's previous comments on people pleading the fifth:

"If you're innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?"

"The mob takes the Fifth,"

pleading the Fifth is “disgraceful.”
