Google controls what we see all the time.
It took me all of 30 seconds to find out this is a lie:
Google represent itself as a "neuteral public forum," which it appears the in truth are not. The FTC needs to take action to rectify this inconsistency, which is not allowed under FTC regulations.
One solution to this issue for Google and Youtube (Also Facebook, Twitter, etc.) is to just stop representing themselves as neuteral. The other solution is to radically change their company cultures so as to actually start being neuteral.
The FTC has indicated they are reviewing this issue with regards to the large social media companies.
