William Barr, attorney general, eyed as possible Sessions successor. Sounds like he is qualified.

Raise the Barr.

If he can get over any false allegations and get confirmed is the unanswered question.

Time for the Democrat left smear parade to be assembled again.

Are you trying to say Trump finally found someone who hasn't committed fraud, has not assaulted anyone, has no secret connection to Russia, is not morally corrupt, and has not pledged to break laws in order to protect the president?

That's a first.

Sessions weren't either one of those things. I can't say the same for Holder and the criminals under the Obama administration like Clapper and Brennan

Only half right.
Sessions recused himself because he does have connections with the Russians. The evidence is so plentiful he had to recuse himself. His recusal may have saved his goose, now that he's no longer A.G.

But as far as anyone knows, Sessions hasn't assaulted anyone or any of that other stuff.

Since Barr was formerly George H.W. Bush's A.G., I think he's a good choice.
If there's nothing new in his record, there's no reason why he wouldn't be confirmed again by the Senate. And the process may go swiftly, as he has already been confirmed once before.

Not that I know a whole lot about this guy, but read a quick bio on him earlier when the news first broke.

He seems fine to me, no issues or scandals....which is rare with Trump appointees LOL.

Just heard about this on Fox News. Kind of cool a former AG for a Repub president would be returning to serve another Repub. He has great 'reviews' so far.

Unless something presently unknown appears, Barr should be easily confirmable.

I don’t think that he would have been a total nutcase if he were nominated by G.H.W. Bush and confirmed by the Senate.

Are there any Dems still in power who confirmed Barr the first time? It wouldn't surprise me if the same ones voted thumbs down this time just because they hated Trump. Hate distorts their thinking.
