The oil companies lobby government to keep their product flowing. We need to be using less of it, not more if we want to avoid a climate tipping point.

True, but they do not emit 70% of greenhouse gases as the OP misunderstands.

I don't know what a "climate tipping point" would be, beyond a catchy phrase. Ideally we will shift away from fossil fuels at some point. But if we force it to the point that it depresses the economy and reduces the amount of money available for tech innovation we'll be shooting ourselves in the foot.

That is the truth.

Pollution isn’t coming from the working class that mow lawns or use electricity, but board rooms that make decisions.

The media lies viciously when they say you should change your actions to stop climate change, all they want to do is protect the rich.

These people will face justice one day, but until then know the carbon tax in France was meant to pin the problems made by corporations onto the working class (after reforming the economy to benefit investment bankers).
Someone said it was cows that are a big problem. Low-emission cows are the solution.
