Time magazine on Monday announced its shortlist of 2018 Person of the Year nominees, which includes families separated at the U.S.-Mexico border.
“Separated families” is among 10 finalists on the weekly newsmagazine’s shortlist for the annual cover story, referring to the Trump administration’s massively controversial zero-tolerance policy of separating children from their parents who illegally cross into the country from Mexico. A federal judge ruled on June 26 that U.S. immigration agents could no longer enforce the policy and that the government must reunite separated families.
"Time’s annual Person of the Year feature highlights an individual or individuals who had the biggest impact (positive or negative) on news headlines over the previous 12 months."
Um, maybe Brett Kavanaugh, no? Of course, Blasey Ford is one of the finalists, LOL!
Then again, if the above quotation from the article is actually true, than Trump should win again. Every freakin news piece (both print and TV) are about him, whether positive or negative. The media makes sure of it.
Oh brother, we don't put kids in jail with their parents and the laws were enforced in that respect but now these families may be rewarded for forcing us to do so? What bizzaro world are we living in?

You're saying the families themselves forced the U.S. to take their children and put them in camps and not return them?

According to our laws, children cannot be put in jail with their parents so yes in keeping with our laws they had to be separated from their parents. These kids were well taken care of in our custody so I don't know what you mean by camps. They are returned to their parents when their parents go through our immigration court system if they are no longer going to be detained. It also happened under the Obama administration. Why in the world should these families be getting special recognition now? When American parents break the law and are separated from their kids do we owe them some special honors?
I didn't realize that Time magazine was still even in business.
Haven't seen that grocery store rag in the grocery store in some time.
