44 former senators urge Senate to defend democracy amid constitutional crisis

Discounting extremist, crack pots and entertainment celebrities, the number of political 'giants' from all parties and branches of government that have spoken out against the incompetence in the White House is growing.

What ever happens over the next few months I only hope our fractured government can put back together into some semblance of leadership and morality.

With media feeding the whackos on both ends of the US political spectrum. Good luck on that.

Trump is a pompous a$$ who degrades the office he holds by his boorish behavior. Obama on the other hand was smooth as silk and full of charisma. I'll take Trump over Obama any day however because Trump's policies are good for the country whereas Obama did the country serious harm. Trump's behavior doesn't affect me at a personal level. His policies do. Same with Obama.

Trump paying off a couple hooker types is between him and his wife. Trying to impeach him for that will irreparably tear the country apart. It will ultimately cost the Democrats more than they gain. His sex life doesn't affect me any more than Clinton getting bj's in the oval office did, and impeaching him for that was the wrong thing to do. It hurt the country. The only difference back then was the country wasn't quite as polarized as it is now. The social fabric wasn't as brittle. Obama selling guns to Mexican drug cartels and weaponizing the IRS to target political enemies affects the very fabric of our society however. Whether we allow in millions more illegals that will never fully support themselves affects us all. Whether we have fair trade deals affects us all. Whether our corporate taxes are competitive in a global economy affects us all.

My point is that the issues that actually affect us matter more than behavior. Trump is a threat to the status quo that benefits those at the top far more than it affects the rest of us. That's what this is really about.

There will be an enormous sign of relief once Trump is gone from the WH. There is justifiable concern that Trump attacks against the very fabric of this nation's institutions has wakened this country and must end. Trump is not a builder. Trump is a destroyer. It is time momentum builds to rid us if the Trump pestilence.

It’s about time. I was wondering how many people can silently stand by and watch this crap happen to our country.

Trump's crime was being too rich to bribe, and the old guard couldn't control him.
If they push too hard, perhaps he'll go Samson on them and end the "State of Emergency" since 1933, and collapse the People's Democratic Socialist Republic and its bankster, the Federal Reserve system.
With the collapse of PDSRA, Fed Res, and the "dollard", billionaires become zero-aires overnight. Fun.Fun.Fun.

Huh?

My comment is in reference to the OP last sentence (What ever happens over the next few months I only hope our fractured government can put back together into some semblance of leadership and morality.)

meaning I am skeptical that it will happen given that media feeds the loons on both ends of the US political spectrum. Pushing buttons of loons is very profitable. Pushed buttons gets clicks. Clicks yield money. My sentence has nothing to do with banning.
