My guess is trump steps down before the end of his term with Pence pardoning him.

Based on things we know and understand, he has committed vastly more than the crimes he is accused of. No one in their right mind thinks criminals are caught very time they commit a felony. It's the basic tip of the iceberg theory.

He was able to use threats and lawyers to chase them away when he was a private citizen. But he decided, in all his wisdom, to become a Federal Employee and now he is subject to vastly more scrutiny.

He could just resign...and make a deal that only fines will apply to his future Federal cases...or something like that.

I'm not sure he can protect himself from the civil and state and other cases. Bonfire of the Vanities.

Oh, lots of people threatened to expose it. He threatened to kill them or sic many lawyers on them....and they didn't have the $$ to get justice. The Feds and the State and other do now.

Effectively he made the decision to take his armor off. Stupid, I know....but people are their own worst enemies.

No you won't. Judges and Prosecutors and Congress will.

You can play fantasy judge....as we all can.

It doesn't matter whether you believe Madoff is in Jail. Or Cohen. Or Manafort. Or Maria...but they still are. You can't decide.

That's why we love this country. You can't make the rules except in your house.

my thought is pence steps down, is replaced by someone not involved with trump/campaign then that person gives trump a blanket pardon ( nixon/ford 2.0 ).

You're thinking of the Clinton Body Count.

and this is the thought process i believe a lot of trump's supporters will share. anything negative revealed in the mueller investigation will just add, in their minds, to the scope of "the deep state" conspiracy.

there's a reason trump built his base from the birthers.
