The saddest part of this whole charade is the GOP purposefully did this behind closed doors so that they could misrepresent a statement of his to rile up their ignorant base. He wanted it done in public so no such shenanigans could take place. Unfortunately the base is so ignorant next week there will be threads on this exact topic, with statements misconstrued to make Comey/Clinton look bad, and the base will eat it up because of their utter lack of intellectual curiosity.
Great press conference. How refreshing to hear an intelligent, coherent man who is not afraid to answer every question asked of him, and answer with facts, not talking points or nonsense. And he is absolutely right on the sorry state of the Republican party. They are a disgrace to the country.
