Most democrats don’t even believe we should have a border. These people are insane. These aren’t your JFK, Bill Clinton democrats anymore.

Oh you mean aside from all the evidence the left has on their side with the immigration debate, that we repeatedly bring to the table but gets ignored? If you don’t want your motives questioned, then stop coming to these debates from a place of pure fantasy. Oh wait?...that’s all you have? Sad.

I guess you’ll just have to continue being enraged at illegal immigration despite the lack of evidence to support your position. But you’re right, we should all give you the benefit of the doubt and trust the absolute purity of your collective intentions. And when we see comments like this regarding the detainment of a Guatemalan toddler by ICE who died in custody...

We should just continue to trust that there are no racial undertones to this debate. O-K....

Show me where a Democrat has come out for more border security. Show me in the DNC agenda where they talk about curtailing ILLEGAL aliens from coming here.

Nah -- a few wing nuts say total open borders.

Democrats don't want to fund a wall -- but neither do House Republicans.

These aren't your Trump wing nuts politicians -- they realize that they have a responsibility to consider the high cost of Trump's monument to himself.

Border Security (Building the wall)

or

Impeaching Trump
Why not ask people what their priorities are, as opposed to asking to choose between two low priority issues, especially when border security is something we already have?

I think health care and economy are top priorities regardless of party affiliation, and both of those issues are in jeopardy with the current admin.

Show me a Republican that has proposed a reasonable approach to curtailing illegal residents.

A wall is not a reasonable, efficient, effective proposal. It's a big show -- it's a simple man's solution. Not a comprehensive approach to border security or immigration reform.

Both!!! Immigration reform and holding Trump accountable as the criminal mobster he is, and getting him out of the american system of governance.

President Johnson's, passage of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, the country's immigration system was reformed, encouraging greater emigration from regions other than Europe.

We have a couple 100 million+ European white immigrants, but the "some" now have a problem, if any brown skin people want to immigrate.... (how absurd !!!)

We need to go back to the principle of human dignity that President Johnson set forth, in his Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 and work on the reforms that make it function without the current level of "ethnic, racial and country of origin discrimination's, that is being current promoted.

We have not forgot the Trump spew of advocating immigration from nations where white skin people live, and then calling any and every nation where brown skin people live as "shet hole nations". as in "denigrate the whole nation of people, in nations where the peoples skin is not white.

" “Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act,” (2012).

It included serious investment in border security, but GOP rejected it.

Some examples

Quote:
Additional U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers are added - 3,500 additional federal law enforcement officers to be trained by 2017
Authorization for the National Guard to be deployed to the Southwest border for the following purposes:
(1) to construct fencing, including double-layer and triple-layer fencing;
(2) to increase ground-based mobile surveillance systems;
(3) to deploy additional unarmed, unmanned aerial systems and manned aircraft sufficient to maintain continuous surveillance of the Southern Border;
(4) to deploy and provide capability for radio communications interoperability between U.S. Customs and Border Protection and State, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies;
(5) to construct checkpoints along the Southern border to bridge the gap to long-term permanent checkpoints; and
(6) to provide assistance to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, particularly in rural,high-trafficked areas, as designated by the Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Authorizes and funds border crossing prosecutions and related court costs in the Tucson Sector at a level sufficient to increase the average number of prosecutions from 70 a day to 210 a day ($50 million from the $3 billion Border Security Fund). It also provides increased funding for Operation Stonegarden to assist state and local law enforcement to help prevent illegal activity along the border.
Provides additional funding for additional border patrol stations and forward operating bases to interdict individuals entering the United States unlawfully immediately after such individuals cross the Southern border and to provide full operational support in rural, high-trafficked areas.
Provides funding for vital radio communications and interoperability between CBP -Office of Border Patrol and state, local, and tribal law enforcement to assist in apprehension efforts along the border.

The bill sets a goal of achieving a 90% success rate (Section 3(a)(3)) of intercepting and deporting illegal immigrants who attempt to cross the border

Yep. And they don't seem to realize they pay $500 per month to support them.
