No. My kids are millennials, I've spent lots of time with them and their friends. On the whole, I've found them to be far more kind, compassionate, thoughtful and generous than my generation was.

I’m 37 and right on the border between millennial and X’er and I get along great with younger millennials at my workplace.

The oldest millennials pushing 40. They have more in common with the younger Gen Xers. I have noticed the 20 something age group to be more like what OP describe. But not all of them of course.

I don’t think they are intolerant, they just know what they want.

Despite the fact that Millennials have a right to be enraged that the Boomers have financially screwed them in more ways than one, I generally find Millenials to be well-educated, affable, thoughtful, and introspective. They might have different interests than older generations, but I chalk their refusal to embrace intolerance, homogeneity, and boorish behavior up to the normal cultural shift that often leads to a new perspective on the culture once embraced by older generations. I'm not a Millennial, but if I am annoyed with the way one generation has treated others, I'd direct it towards the Boomers who are (in my view) the most selfish generation rather than the Millennials.

I'm sorry people find your hurtful and offensive acts to be hurtful and offensive. Maybe you should consider some self-awareness instead of fulminating at those damn kids and their damn i-telephones.

Let’s see, I put 5 kids through private school and paid for 5 private college degrees. I paid for my daughters wedding 100% and contributed to 3 sons weddings.

So explain how I screwed them over.

This whole Boomer, GenX, millennial, GenZ thing is hogwash.

People are people. Period. I don't find millennials to be any more intolerant or less tolerant than anyone one else.

So much of what people claim are "generational traits" is based really on life stages. Boomers were the rebels... then Gen X... then millennials... soon it will be Gen Z. Guess what, those people were/are all labeled rebels when they were/are young! Young people can be rebellious. Stop the presses! Doesn't matter when you were born. Same can be said for all the stages of life. Give it 50-60 years and people will be saying millennials are reluctant to change (like a lot of older people are).

I think on average they are better parents than we were. Every once in a while I see a young parent allowing their child to run around unchecked (maybe grooming them to be a future unhinged liberal).

I don't see the big issue with millenials as a whole. The ones I know are hard working young men and women. One nephew recently got his journeyman's papers as an electrician. Another has been promoted and leads a construction crew. Others are machinists, still another is finishing his engineering degree while working summers. None are living in mommie's basement.

Not all millennials are the "snowflakes" or Antifa morons that we see on national TV all so often. Get away from liberal universities and large urban areas and you see that many are actually normal people with a bright future ahead of them.
