ISIS is no lt defeated; that's another Trump lie. When every single ranking military member, foreign policy expert, and even key GOP Senators are telling you this is a mistake, we should listen. Listening is not Donald's strong suit.

There are 2-3K US troops in Syria. That's a pretty small footprint; about half of what is on the Mexico border right now fighting a largely imaginary enemy. That footprint still had critical work to do to get ISIS to 0% effectiveness and ensure that locals are fully ready to handle their security. Military lraders on the ground are saying it was working and now was not yet the time to bail. Now that we prematurely ejected, we can be sure that ISIS will come roaring back - and Russia and Iran will step in to capitalize on the void and ratchet up threat tp Israel.
Duh! ISIS is the JV team... 'you can put Laker jerseys on........'

Trump is very concerned about isis getting into our country over the southern porous border

Like how the republicans in Washington were when Obama was in office.

Democrats are funny. They want to stay because they think it pisses off the Russians and the Iranians!Obama stayed, but he had Americans fighting with one hand behind their back. So ISIS grew. Trump put a stop to that via Gen Mattis.
American armed forces can outperform anyone when given the opportunity.
We should leave. There is nothing to accomplish there.

All one needs to do is consult the Constitution. Nothing there that says protect other nations borders. Problem solved.

Exactly what national interests would those be?
