No, it really isn’t. The argument was made that ANTIFA is anti-government as apposed to being the strong arm of the left and Democratic Party. If they were “merely” anti government in general, they would protest ideas and proposals from both sides of the aisle. Seeing how Democrats are pro government, one would think there there would be ANTIFA demonstrations against their ideas. There are not or have not been to this point.

ANTIFA members ARE FASCISTS.
A brief look at 1930s Germany will reveal that ANTIFA is identical to the brownshirts. Instead of being loyal foot soldiers to the Nazis, ANTIFA is the physical bullying force of the left wing dems.
Anyone who embraces liberty and free speech would condemn this group for what they are. However, many dems look the other way, as they are intimidating and suppressing the rights of their political opponants, not them (for now).
Thuggery, physical intimidation, and harassment has no place in a free, civil society. These are the tactics of those who have lost the debate through civil discourse and resort to "other means" to enforce their agenda, not that of the society in aggregate.

They are anti-fascist and they attack fascists (who are never, ever left wingers - by definition) so you conclude that they must be attacking the fascists because they are right wingers. It's the other way around they are attacking right wingers that happen to be espousing fascist ideology. They don't attack main street republicans any more than they attack lefties. Because neither are fascists or espouse that ideology.
No one should be attacking anyone. But to lay it off on some secret conspiracy with the DNC is fantastical, in the extreme. You believe what you wanna believe.
They are the close to being the exact opposite of anarchists. So that we can all look up the definition of anarchy together, here is the definition from Marian Websters dictionary (not that dictionaries are not ever biased or wrong, but the definition of this word is not really being disputed by anyone, as far as I am aware)

As you can see, anarchy is the belief in NO government at all.
Socialists, including the American Democrat left, believes government is the answer to almost everything, and aside from the military or the police, you will be hard pressed to find very many recommendations for smaller government that the Democrat left supports. Increasingly this is even now extending to regulating speech and thought under the guise that anything that that is not sufficiently compliant with their agenda is "hate speech," which should be regulated, made criminal and banned.
Socialists, including the American Democrat left are not opposed to all government. Just the opposite in fact.

Antifa is not in any way anarchist.
Anarchy would be the ultimate far right on any accurate political left-right graph. The ultimate left would be absolute totalitarianism, with lock down control over economic decisions, speech and life choices for individuals.
