He's always tweeting about how hes at the WH and taking photos on the phone. How about picking up a phone, call Pelosi and ask her to come negotiate? Nah. Trump would rather sit in bed and eat KFC while watching Fox News.
Isnt that how most negotiations go though...you always start out asking for MUCH more than you really need, that way, you can appear to be compromising when you accept a lower amount?
Maybe the total cost was always $1.5 billion and it was exaggerated on purpose, so its more likely they will get $1.5B rather than 5 or 25B..?
Don't try to use logic on them...if Trump paid for the whole thing himself, they'd complain that he somehow was going to make money off of it! It doesn't matter what he says or does, he's not THEIR guy so it's all bad!

I would have no issue if Trump or his supporters paid for the wall.
Individuals living in both red and blue states receive those benefits and those individuals are disproportionately black and immigrant by far.
"By far?"
Have you got any source of reference to help back up what you seem to think you know?
According to 2013 data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which administers the program, 40.2 percent of SNAP recipients are white, 25.7 percent are black, 10.3 percent are Hispanic, 2.1 percent are Asian and 1.2 percent are Native American.

Not really sure what you're trying to say. I'm not particularly keen on the govt raising our children but if we are going to use tax money to feed them then at least feed them healthy food not Little Debbies and Pop Tarts.
There is no program, none, not space, not defense, that is perfect and/or without it's short-comings and waste, but when anyone bothers to consider the overall, it's only then the true value of these programs can be quantified. The SNAP program has been heavily scrutinized for a variety of reasons and so far has passed the test of mostly serving it's purpose with a pretty low percentage of abuse.
On a more personal note, I used to work at a supermarket, and I have accepted food stamps for payment at the register more times than I can count. Usually, it's milk, cheese, bread and what just about anyone would agree is good for hungry families to receive in the way of help, much like the food we used to give away when I worked with the Food Bank. Watch many a mother with a child or two in tow, embarrassed to present her food stamps for payment of those foods, and those forever spouting about the abuse should think about shutting their big mouths.
Patently false. I already posted the data, with links. Democrats outnumber Republicans on means-tested public assistance programs by a more than 2 to 1 ratio. More than 2 to 1. What we should do is conduct a study to find out WHY Democrats are far less able than Republicans to support themselves and their families.
If you need a study to understand why so many Americans are poor and/or why they tend to lean toward support of Democrats vs Republicans, no study is going to help you (because no doubt you would dismiss it anyway in favor of what fits your misguided preconceived notions about these differences and reasons for them).
