We have a statement directly from the president himself that he has taken ownership of the shutdown

Nothing anybody else says really matters, because words directly from the POTUS trump (pun intended) the opinions of random Trump supporters on the internet.

Yeah, but that was at 9 am, by noon he always reverses what he said and claims he never said it. I hope the Democrats plant their feet and hold fast, Trump is squirming like a caught trout. Let that orange idiot drown in his own mess.

Exactly.

It's already been proven to work....up to 90% in a single area....

Don't let them facts get in your way....

The Bottom Line: Walls Work. When it comes to stopping drugs and illegal aliens from crossing our borders, border walls have proven to be extremely effective. Border security relies on a combination of border infrastructure, technology, personnel and partnerships with law enforcement at the state, local, tribal, and federal level. For example, when we installed a border wall in the Yuma Sector, we have seen border apprehensions decrease by 90 percent. In San Diego, we saw on Sunday that dilapidated, decades-old barriers are not sufficient for today’s threat and need to be removed so new – up to 30 foot wall sections can be completed.

Got to ask your GOP leaders in the House and Senate for that answer.

You have your majority representation in the House of Representatives.

Senators represent states .... states are sovereign entities. Keeps us from having to go along with everything California thinks is a good idea.

When I was shutdown during these events. I was required to keep working as I was a cop, it angered me so much when everyone came back and got paid just like they was never gone. If they get double pay on top of regular pay I will be mad.

They will be paid once it’s not shutdown

Trump Digs In, Darkening Hopes for a Deal to End the Shutdown

Is the president the only one digging in? The Democrats are also digging in. Putin has nothing to do with this.
