I don't agree with him........we shouldn't be in Syria or Afghanistan.
I agree with mad dog Mattis, not Trump.

He’s leaving our allies at an alarming point.

The sane choice is to stop this continual warfare.
If it were accompanied by a withdrawal of support for the Saudis in Yemen, I’d agree to an altruistic motive. In this case, he’s handing Syria over to Putin (to make him happy) while ignoring the Senate’s resolution to divest from Yemen (which makes the Saudis happy).

Someone's military experience has nothing to do with it, have no idea why to cite it.

I am a veteran also, and a person can admire someone and disagree with them on things. In this case, we should not be in Syria, and we should have left Afghanistan years ago.

We are not supposed to be in Syria in the first place. It's an illegal war which none of the corporate news media mentions it and you repeat their ignorance and lies.

It's an illegal war. We haven't declared it. We are doing an offensive war in a country that didn't attack us that is a quagmire because We have funded both sides of the war and we funded Islamic extremists and our so call "moderate" backup rebels beheaded children and civilians and our pro war corporate media doesn't report it.

Obama started an illegal war and Trump inherited that mess and wants to end it. End of the Story!!!! He wants to do the same thing in Afghanistan after being there for 17 years and we don't know what are the goals. WW 2 lasted 4 years and we had goals.....what are we doing in Syria and Afghanistan?

excuse me, what allies in Syria? that is an illegal war. We are supporting both sides in a quagmire and supporting extremist Islamic groups that behead people.

if you can't see it's an illegal war then you are part of the problem with our corporate news media.

if you agree with Mattis, then vote for a Neo Con Democrat in 2020 that will keep and expand our endless wars and occupations and get in a war with Russia.

Please. I can’t stand the very sight of Donald Trump. I’d put him in a Space Shuttle if I could without enough fuel to bring him back to Earth. Good riddance.

I simply want our troops to come home from these dumbass wars.

The United States doesn’t have any allies. We buy our friends.

Mattis is mad about withdrawing from Syria and Afghanistan, boo hoo. Bring the troops home.

As a veteran, why are all retired generals so obsessed with keeping troops all over the planet? No doubt Syria was the straw that broke the camel's back for him.
