Whatever happened to getting Mexico to pay fo the wall?
You know, can we put this stupid meme to bed once and for all? (Mexico paying for the wall). I think we all know that as stupid a comment as it was (although it sure was funny) Trump probably meant taxes and surcharges on all the money Mexicans send back to their country would eventually amount to enough for them to 'pay for the wall.' Doubtful, but please. Over.It.
Because the Democrats will agree to that temporarily, and then later pull them back. That's why we need a permanent solution, which the wall largely is. Even if it doesn't keep 99% of the illegals out, what's wrong with cutting it by half?
And in the scheme of things, $5B is a small amount of money. We will make that back up in the first month (after it's built) by slowing the traffic of illegals.

A reason to not increase physical barriers to sharply cut down on those illegally entering the country.
Yeah it sounds like the House Republicans passed it because they know it won't pass in the Senate...not exactly support for Trump's wall -- more political bull than anything.

That's because there are two reasons the Dems are refusing to stop 90% of the illegal aliens from entering:
1) They need the votes. First, illegals are counted for representation in Congress; and second, they are hoping that once they retake full power they'll provide a quick path to citizenship/direct votes.
2) They will oppose anything Trump wants, even to the detriment of Americans, because.....Trump wants it.
Yep, they are indeed programmed. However, a few weeks away from right wing radio would help heal them. But now it's radio and Russian not fed internet too.

The only Treasonous person is your liar in chief. Trump is willing to bankrupt this country with no second thoughts. His boss Putin is even calling him Donald. Wonder what deal he made with Putin? Mexico was supposed to pay for the wall. What happened? Another lie? Yes, you can’t depend on Trump to tell the truth about anything. The sooner they throw him out the better.

As if Democrats would be ok with the wall even if Mexico was paying for it.
It's not the cost that they object to.... it's just a convenient excuse, a red herring meant to distract from the real reason that they're against a wall or any type of increased border security.
They're afraid it might actually work.
God forbid we obstruct the illegal entry of more future Democrat voters.
And they don't like the optics........a wall is mean.
Walls do not work. People are resourceful. Put up a wall and people find a way around them.
