The OP is time stamped just before 3 a.m. so it's been about an hour that it has been on C-D. No one is ignoring this thread. They're all asleep except for me who was watching clips of "The Newsroom" on You Tube. It's good this guy was exposed. The OP at least insinuates that the reporter worked for CNN. He didn't. They just gave him some award. He doesn't represent them or the media in general. He represents himself as a fake and a fraud. And before someone comes in and says CNN will never cover this.....
His work had received awards from CNN, but a CNN spokesperson said, "Relotius was not associated with CNN, he never worked for the company and never had anything published on CNN platforms."

As was noted above, this story is getting coverage on CNN and many other news outlets. The "good news" is the journalist (Claas Relotius) was exposed as a fraud and has been fired from Der Spiegel (the German newspaper where he worked).
The only real difference between Claas Relotius and Donald Trump: There were actual consequences for Claas where as Donald Trump rode all his lies straight to the White House.
