I have to wonder just how clearly she grasps the issues and arguments put in front of her during all the hearings on any issue. When interviewed she pauses when asked a question like she has to collect her thoughts and sometimes they are quite long pauses. Does she doze off during arguments presented before the Court? Does her mind ever wander away from the subject? Can she truly concentrate on what someone just said? Clearly her mind isn't as quick and sharp as it once was. Does this affect her ability to understand all the nuances and know exactly what is being said?

I seriously doubt if she can even walk without assistance, even for short distances. Yet, the public is given to believe that she is fully functional in all her abilities, especially to comprehend what goes on.

Members of Congress must be present in order to vote on an issue and that is so stated in the Constitution. Sadly, such rules are not in effect for SC justices.
Unlike all of the Justices, Ginsburg was in DC through Thursday evening, even though the SCOTUS was not scheduled to and did not meet as a group. SCOTUS use the phone or email to vote, when they are not scheduled to meet as a group.

She took a Delta shuttle flight back to NY , Thursday evening. She was observed in the terminal, pre flight, walking without assistance. She ordered coffee during the flight and worked throughout the flight. She got off the flight without assistance.

Some might recall, Trump chose to attack the 9 Circuit Court of Appeals as politically biased. This compelled Justice Roberts to make clear there are no Obama judges or Trump judges.

Trump was highly critical of Obama golf days. He made clear during the campaign he would be too busy as President to golf.

I have no issue with any President golfing. I do have an issue with hypocrisy.

Quoted for truth. Toilet Tweeter doesn’t know the first thing about the job to which he was elected, nor does he care to learn.

People who understand that's not a decision you make one morning out of the blue via Twitter, without having discussed it with the generals whose job it will be to facilitate the sudden withdrawal. The way he wants to do it is irresponsible and short-sighted and would be throwing our allies to the wolves.

What kind of idiots want our foreign policy decided this way, by an incompetent fool who gets his direction from Fox News and conservative pundits, and makes huge foreign policy decisions without talking to his Joint Chiefs of Staff first?

Ignorant, know-nothing cultists, that's who. They actually believe President Bone Spurs knows what he's doing.
SCOTUS was not scheduled to meet as a group this week. Not all justices were in DC. In instances like this, they vote by phone or email.

There are conflicting reports as to when she voted, before or after surgery.
Don’t think there was doubt how she was likely to vote.

Conservative Justice Roberts, not Ginsburg, was the deciding vote 5-4 ruling.
True. Ginsberg ALWAYS votes with the left. Unfortunately, it's generally the Republicans in the Senate, House or Supreme Court who are willing to break party ranks, and never the Democrats. Sadly, DC has gotten so politically polarized that having multiple members in a two party system is redundant, , at least on the left. I think Roberts is miffed because Trump recently pointed out this reality among activist federal judges - and wanted to make a point.

Article II Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution, the Commander in Chief clause, states that "[t]he President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United State

People were not happy when McArthur was fired by Truman. Truman had the power to do so. We have no business being in the middle of a Civil war that was started by Obama.

Its time for these wars to end. 17 years is long enough. Americans are sick of sending their Children to the Middle East to die for no reason. Assad will clean his country up with Russia.

Exactly what Trump has done. Rolling back EPA regulations, giving big businesses tax cuts, campaigning on proping up dying industries (coal, specifically), etc.

The point was that SCOTUS is not required constitutionally to meet as a group and cast their votes in person as is Congress. Nor are there any mechanisms in place to assure they have heard all the arguments and are fully informed about the issues, previous rulings and the laws already in place. I think RBG probably has a lot of aides to do the research and analysis for her and present her with their findings but we don't know if such is done and that she has been made aware of everything. (This is true for all SC proceedings and justices, not just RBG.) The SC is fairly secretive about everything that goes on inside their closed chambers, including who is--and isn't--present, who is--and isn't--awake and paying attention to what's going on. We already know that Congress can be something close to slapstick comedy at times--thanks to open debate and proceedings--but we don't know that about the SC.

Creating Regulations wont do anything for the environment. It just sends the jobs to Another country. Coal is not a dying industry. We have a lot of it and should utilize it.

Thats one main reason why the democrats lost 16. No recovery in the rust belt. All blue collard coal jobs gone. Obama regulated people into poverty and unemployment to push his BS globalist agenda.

I never said he couldn't do it, I said it was a foolish decision, especially considering how ignorant he is about foreign policy. But the thing about ignorant people is that their ignorance keeps them from knowing how ignorant they are. This is where we find ourselves with the very ignorant occupant of the White House right now.
