So you're saying that you're ok with a reasonable level of socialism in our society?

You know... like every single developed country already has?

I'm Libertarian and that works for me! You can drum up every entitlement known to man and I'm on board UNTIL the money runs out. At that point, you draw the line in the sand and say "no more."

I'm a firm believer in working within a budget. Once funds are exhausted, you do NOT have my permission to exceed the budget by adding money onto the national debt by borrowing OPM and paying interest on the borrowed money.

I think you are saying that you are responsible. No argument from me.

I probably have very libertarian leanings. Some thing I just can't get on board with so I am not a true Libertarian. I am am an Independent on my voter card (figuratively, they don't literally put that on the card).

But when it comes to the two main parties I tend to agree with Democrats on social issues and Republicans on fiscal issues (pretty much the classic socially liberal and fiscally conservative). Although the parties seem pretty jumbled up to me anymore to me. I think they are rapidly evolving due to the current political climate. It will be interesting to see what they become.

Take a look at Republican "fiscal responsibility" from Reagan til now.

While you may agree with Republican *rhetoric* on fiscal responsibility, their actions have been nothing of the sort.

Seems everyone other than the "Libertarians" are willing to honestly discuss their beliefs.

Well, "Libertarians" means registered members of the Libertarian Party, since the big/small "L" distinction is ubiquitous at this point.

Do we have any registered members of the LP on this forum? Not sure.

The small "L" libertarian and anarchists have discussed their beliefs in a very honest and detailed in this and many other threads. Did you not read any of those posts?

Yes, it never happens. They simply resort to name calling and admitting they really aren't libertarians.
