Bill Clinton was clueless on foreign policy.
That's why we had September 11.

People knew being impeached over sex was BS. We don’t know if Trump will be impeached, but if so it will likely be either for profiting financially from the office or being the subject of a foreign power...both which are serious federal crimes. Also, people considered Clinton to be a serious president even if they hated his politics...Trump is incompetent in his duties and has shown no serious inclination for learning the responsibilities of his position.

He could have served as much as almost 10 years, as 23 days less than two years remained on Clinton's term, when the impeachment vote in the Senate was taken and failed, 45 in favor of impeachment and 55 against.

The premise of the article mischaracterises the investigation.

The order calls for an investigation of Russia’s interference with the 2016 election, any possible links tocoordinatiion with Trump campaign and Russia and any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation.

The language of the order was intentionally broad, no different than the Special Investigation of the Clintons.

The multi year investigation did not preclude Clinton from running for and winning a second term.

After 7 years, the Special Investigation concluded it did not have evidence to charge the Clintons with any crimes related to Whitewater. It did charge and convict others for crimes related to Whitewater. It was lying under oath about the consensual affair with Lewinsky that compelled the House to impeach him. They did so, knowing the Senate would aquit him.

No one outside the Mueller investigation knows what is going on inside the investigation.what we do know is that it has charged and convicted some related to the campaign with crimes. We know that Trump lied about payments to Stormy Daniels, albeit not under oath.

The big question is could Trump be elected to a second term? I don’t know. If the election was in January, 2019, probably not. November, 2020 is a long, long way off.

Even if he's impeached, he won't be convicted. He's in for two more years. Live with it.

Bill Clinton had his license to practice law suspended for five years. He was facing disbarment from appearing before the US Supreme Court, so resigned that particular license:

As for the issue at hand: I doubt that President Trump will enjoy such a bump.

Once again Clinton was not impeached for having sex, he was impeached for lying about it while under oath. He was being personally sued in civil court and they were trying to establish a patter of abuse, he lied during his deposition which is a felony.
