Again this poster posts links from 2014! It is as if he has been under a rock.

Something besides good faith is missing from the ongoing immigration negotiations. Republicans want to pair an amnesty for the “Dreamers” with enforcement measures that would tighten the immigration system. But conspicuously absent from their wish list is E-Verify, an electronic system through which an employer can ascertain whether a job applicant is in the country legally.
GOP blocks everify

Hire more agents and deport the people overstaying their visas. Then, once that "hole" is fixed, worry about a wall or securing the boarder. This whole wall thing is just political theater that's going to cost the US taxpayers a lot of money if it goes though. And it won't be effective until years from now. In the meantime, other solutions aren't getting the funding (or they are getting funding and we pay more in taxes).

That's why President Trump can't get support for it (and it's not just liberals that aren't supporting it, it's fiscally responsible conservatives too).

Did you tell the bi-partisan congress that passed the wall bill back in 2006 that it was just a "political theater" on their part?

A $25 billion wall is more expensive than the over $100 billion a year that illegals cost us? Not in my mathematical mind.

The wall may take years to complete but every singe step we take throughout the years will cut illegal immigration back. Does it have to happen over night in your mind?

There is no better solutions to prevent illegal "entry" at our border other than physical barriers and boots on the ground. Even the high tech stuff was scrapped years ago as they didn't work.

With your initial post you started out saying you weren't against the wall then you went on from there and every post afterwards arguing against it and making every lame excuse not to build it. Hmm.

The former is a compromised agent at the highest point in our political system.

The latter has been going on for all of human history and won't stop because of a wall. It's smarter, in the long run, to handle it via policy than sinking billions into a border wall especially given the other climate related future problems the country faces.

I'm a nut? No, what's nuts are all the lame excuses not to build the wall in spite of the facts. Who cares what you're most concerned about? Most of us are more concerned about the security and safety of our nation's borders. Who said that the wall will stop illegal immigration 100%? 80% isn't good enough?

Now you're just going off topic.

Doesn't matter.

Americans were told...née promised during the 2016 election by the guy who won that election that Mexico would pay for the wall, all of it. That's the commitment. No excuses, no backtracking.

Get the money from Mexico. Then build whatever wall you want, as high and as far as you want. As long as Mexico covers the cost and not U.S. taxpayers, *as promised*.

Nope! Not without being detected most can't and most won't do that anyway. What a lame argument. I guess you'd rather keep footing the bill for the over $100 billion a year that illegals cost us then?

Why do you think a primitive medieval solution is the best solution? You do realize most illegal immigrants have simply overstayed visas that means the majority of them got into the US by plane. You realize planes can fly over walls.

Ask yourselves why the man in the oval *promised* and *swore* Mexico would pay for a wall. Now why should any U.S. taxpayer be on the hook to pay for a wall when they were promised Mexico would?

Why would you Trumpists not insist on Mexico footing the bill?

Go get the $$$$ from Mexico, then build a wall, as long and as high as you want. Simple as that.

This again? Polly wanna cracker?" Squawk, squawk. All of your remarks and lames excuses have been addressed and debunked over and over again in here.

Did you demand that Mexico pay for the wall back in 2006 when congress passed the wall bill? It was the taxpayer that was going to have to soley fund it.

OMG, this again???? If a wall is a medieval solution then why do we still have walls around our homes and businesses? What do visa over stayers have to do with the border jumpers? No the majority of illegals didn't come by planes.

Those 20% who cross will "not be the best, they are people with lots of problems, they're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime, they're rapists."
